If Paul George Doesn’t Work out, LeBron Could End Up with Two Other All-Stars

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in serious discussions to trade for four-time All-Star Paul George to pair with LeBron James in hopes of ending the Warriors’ reign in the league. However, if those discussions fall through and a deal can’t be reached, there are now reports saying the Cavs could go the route of finding a recent buyout.

The Chicago Bulls are now in full rebuild mode, which makes Dwyane Wade’s hefty $23.8 million contract a hindrance to being a salary cap eater and facilitator in potential trades. There have been talks about a potential buyout so that he can go and play wherever he wants. The New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony is also a buyout candidate seeing as how team president Phil Jackson has said on multiple occasions that he’d like to see Anthony play elsewhere.

Via ESPN:
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst subsequently said in an NBA on ESPN Radio interview Thursday night that both Anthony and the Bulls’ Dwyane Wade are candidates to sign with the Cavaliers in free agency this summer if they can secure buyouts from Chicago and New York, respectively.
James has a rapport with both guys as he won two rings with Wade and has played on Team USA with Anthony a few times. They are all part of the “Banana Boat” brotherhood聽so if a deal for George falls through, look for these two names to pop up down the road.
