Lightning first team to clinch Stanley Cup Playoff berth
The Tampa Bay Lightning became the first team to clinch a berth in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs when the Montreal Canadiens lost 8-2 to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. The Lightning (51-13-4) can finish no worse than third in the Atlantic Division. They lead the Boston Bruins by 15 points for first in the division.

Emotional day as Rangers trade Zuccarello to Stars for two picks
Let the moves begin. The New York Rangers started their trade deadline maneuvers by sending winger Mats Zuccarello to the Stars, according to TSN. The return is two conditional draft picks - a second-rounder in 2019 that would become a first-rounder if Dallas wins two playoff rounds (unlikely); and a third-rounder in 2020 that becomes a first-rounder if Dallas resigns the pending unrestricted free agent.
