In what was potentially his last home game as a National, Bryce Harper took a bow for the DC faithful at Nationals Park on Wednesday. Watch:

Harper, who will become a free agent after the season, finished the day 0-for-4 in a 9-3 Nationals win over the Miami Marlins, which was shortened to seven innings due to rain.
Since making his debut for the Nationals in 2012, the 25-year-old Harper has hit .278 to go along with 184 home runs and 521 RBI, and has a career OBP of .387. The six-time all star was named Rookie of the Year in 2012 and National League MVP in 2015. Harper won the Home Run Derby at this past July's All Star Game in his home park.
As the Nationals look ahead, and move forward into the Juan Soto era, only time will tell if Bryce Harper, such a big piece of the club's past, will be a part of their exciting future.

Yanks Want McCutchen Back at Right Price

If they can get him on a "reasonable deal," the Yankees want pending free agent outfielder Andrew McCutchen back next season, reports Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe, who adds that the Yankees value what McCutchen offers on the field and in the clubhouse.
McCutchen, 31, is earning $14.75 million this season, in what is the final year of a six-year, $51.5 million deal he signed prior to the 2013 season.
Since being acquired by the Yankees from the Giants, McCutchen has hit .212/.404/.439 with four homers and one double in 20 games.

Aaron Judge Returns to Yankees Lineup

Judge will hit second in his first game back in the lineup. He’ll face off against Boston Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi.
It will be Judge’s first start since July 26. The 26-year-old has been sidelined since late July after breaking his wrist after being hit by a pitch.

Judge has not played since July 26, when he was hit by a pitch from Kansas City's Jakob Junis. The Yankees initially expected Judge to return in about three weeks.
"With the roster, it makes some sense to have him available to, if there's a spot where we can get him in, to run the bases or play some defense," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said before the start of New York's final regular-season homestand. "He's getting real close to being an option for us."

Mariners Land All-Star Gordon, Will Convert him to OF

The Seattle Mariners acquired two-time All-Star Dee Gordon from the Miami Marlins on Thursday for three minor league players. Gordon, 29, will be converted to the outfield by the Mariners after being Miami's second baseman.
