Solo Running for President of U.S. Soccer Federation

Estranged United States women's national team goalkeeper Hope Solo announced on Thursday her candidacy for president of the U.S. Soccer Federation in a personal Facebook post. Solo was given a six-month suspension from the U.S. national team for comments she made during the Rio Olympics.

Rangers Sign G Mazanec, Send G Georgiev to AHL

The New York Rangers signed free agent goaltender Marek Mazanec on Wednesday. Mazanec, 26, was assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. Mazanec has appeared in 31 career NHL games over parts of three seasons, all with the Nashville Predators, recording an 8-13-4 record with a 2.98 goals-against average, .895 save percentage and two shutouts.

Penguins' Fleury Relinquishes No-Movement Clause
