Weekend Wrapup: One Week Left In Atlantic 10 Regular Season

With one week left in the Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball schedule, the postseason picture is getting clearer, but still isn't entirely in focus.

The George Mason Patriots continued their downward slide in the league's late game on Sunday, dropping a 83-74 decision to crosstown rival George Washington. With the win, the Colonials pulled even with Mason and LaSalle in a three-way tie for sixth in the league with just two games left to play. The two teams are moving in opposite directions at a crucial point in the season. The Colonials won their third straight game Sunday, while the Patriots are mired in a three-game losing streak, after winning four in a row. Both teams will return to action on Wednesday when GW travels to the Bronx to take on Fordham, and Mason hosts Duquesne in Fairfax.

Atlantic 10 teams will return to the court on Tuesday, with seven games between then and Wednesday. Saturday March 1st will be the last day of the regular season, with all 14 A-10 teams in action. Here's this week's full schedule in the league:

The Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship will run from March 8 - 12 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. The top four schools in the standings will receive a double-bye in the tournament, while schools 5-10 will get a single bye. The bottom four teams will essentially have to play their way into the tournament by winning a game on March 8th.
