The Monday Morning Quarterback

The Kean Cougars were the only New Jersey Athletic Conference men's basketball team in action on Tuesday, as they traveled across the Hudson River to face the John Jay Bloodhounds in New York City. Here's more from the Kean Cougars website:
Justin Watson led the Cougars with a 25 point performance, a career-high.  Both teams left The Doghouse with a 2-6 record.

Kean pushed out to a double-digit advantage in the first-half with a 12-0 run as rookie Adrian Baucum hit back to back jumpers to start the run and Watson ended it with one of his seven treys on the night for a 21-10 lead with 10 minutes to go.  The Bloodhounds chipped away and actually regained the lead at the break with a slim 33-32 advantage.

Watson had nine first-half points while Baucum added eight.

The Cougars took the lead for good on the backend of a pair of free-throws from Baucum with 11:46 to go in the contest.

Baucum had 20 points and six rebounds on the night while Micah Kerr recorded 14 points.
Kean will back in action on Saturday at 1 PM when they host the College of Saint Elizabeth in Union.
