The message from the top has been received by Odell Beckham Jr., and the Giants’ organizational decision to Win Now — to sign Nate Solder, to trade for Alec Ogletree, to pass on Sam Darnold, etcetera and draft Saquon Barkley — means you can take it to the bank that they will Pay Now.

Pay Beckham now.

And that will be music to Barkley’s rookie ears.

Barkley, labeled a gold-jacket guy by Giants GM Dave Gettleman, was asked whether his future partner in crime is a gold-jacket guy.

“You look at Odell, what he’s done the last four to five years, how he impacted the game, the culture of the game and impact on the field, it’s a no-brainer,” Barkley said.
