Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was involved in an incident Saturday at a downtown Minneapolis hotel in which he threatened to shoot someone, but there was no indication he had a gun and no arrest was made, KSTP-TV reported Monday.
Minneapolis Public Information Officer John Elder told the Pioneer Press that police responded to a 911 call and arrived at the Hotel Ivy at 1:26 p.m. Saturday to investigate a possible disturbance. Elder said a male was leaving, and police did not identify him because there was no evidence of a gun being present or there being any risk to public safety.
Elder said no arrest was made. He said Hotel Ivy officials did not want to press charges.
