Oakland Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck announced his retirement via Facebook on Monday. The 32-year old Tuck spent 11 seasons in NFL, his first nine with the New York Giants. Tuck was a two-time pro bowler with the Giants in 2008 and 2010, and was a major part of two Super Bowl championships in New York. Many people believe he should have been named the MVP of Super Bowl XLII, where his two sacks of Tom Brady, led the Giants to an upset over the previously undefeated New England Patriots. In two Super Bowl games, Tuck picked up four sacks, which is second only to Charles Haley, who compiled 4.5 sacks in five Super Bowls. As impressive as his on-field performance was, Tuck was known more for his leadership both on the field and in the locker room, and was always held in the highest regards by his teammates.
