Competition at the Games of the XXXIst Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has come to a close, and soon, the flame at Olympic Stadium will be extinguished, bringing the games to a close with the United States, far and away, the winner of the medal tally.

On Sunday, the U.S. men's basketball team, led by Kevin Durant's 30 points, put the icing on the cake for Team U.S.A., cruising past Serbia 96-66, and clinching their third straight Olympic gold medal. Biles will leave Rio with five medals in all, also winning gold on floor excercise and vault, and taking bronze on the balance beam.

In his Olympic career, Phelps has won 28 medals overall, including 23 gold, both records. Phelps has said the Rio games will be his last, as he'll ride into the sunset on top.
