Charania reports that Butler — whom the Wolves acquired at the 2017 NBA draft in a blockbuster deal that sent guards Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn, along with a draft pick that became forward Lauri Markkanen, to Chicago — has “given Minnesota a list of one-to-three teams with whom he’s open to signing [an] extension.” Those teams, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, all play in the NBA’s biggest markets:

Butler Sparks Late Runs, Lifts Timberwolves Past Clippers

MINNEAPOLIS -- Jimmy Butler scored a season-high 33 points, including 20 in the fourth quarter, as the Minnesota Timberwolves recovered and held on to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 112-106 on Sunday night.

During a 126-107 loss on Thursday night to the hands of the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers took his frustration out on a fan sitting courtside at Staples Center. The 126 points the Clippers gave up to the Jazz were the most points given up in any matchup between them since 1998.
