Former Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg on Sunday signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, who have released center Ian Park in a corresponding move to make room for Hackenberg on the roster.
A former second-round pick of the New York Jets, Hackenberg’s pro career stalled almost immediately following a roller-coaster ride at Penn State.
Hackenberg has no regular-season game experience in the NFL. He spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Jets.
The Jets shipped him to Oakland for a conditional draft pick this past May. However the Raiders released him less than a month later.
